Robert Fakelmann, AIA is an emeritus architect and current member of the Western Massachusetts Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. He has been a licensed architect since 1981 in the State of Texas where he received a Master of Architecture MArch from Texas A&M University. He has received design awards from the Boston Society of Architects, AIA Cincinnati, and the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture ACSA. His design work and architectural drawings have been published in books on architectural drawing, in conference proceedings, and in international journals such as Global Architecture. He has presented design work and scholarly papers at regional and national conferences on architecture and architectural education, and was granted the status of Professor Emeritus of Architecture from the School of Architecture at Louisiana Tech University. After 31 years, he retired from teaching architectural design and professional ethics in order to collaborate in the workingdesign studio with his partner Alexis Wreden . . . .
Alexis Wreden received a Master of Fine Arts MFA in Sculpture from Indiana University and a Master of Landscape Architecture MLA from the Graduate School of Design GSD at Harvard University. She has taught drawing and design at Washington University in St. Louis, at Rhode Island School of Design RISD, and as an Associate Professor in the School of Architecture at Louisiana Tech University. She has held artist residencies at A Studio in the Woods in New Orleans LA, the Sustainable Arts Society in Blue Ridge GA, and the T.C.Steele State Historic Site and Museum in Indiana. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and group shows in New Haven CT, St. Louis MO, Monroe LA, New Orleans LA, and Mobile AL. While teaching she pursued a private landscape design practice in Louisiana where she master-planned several municipal parks and designed landscape schemes for private and public gardens. In addition to her collaborative activities at the workingdesign studio, she is a committed artist and pursues painting and drawing .
